AB 307: Combatting Youth Homelessness Grant Program
This bill, co-authored by Assemblymember Eloise Gómez Reyes and Senator Scott Weiner, will require the Homeless Coordinating and Financing Council (Council) to develop, oversee, and administer a $100 million grant program for nonprofits or continuum of care administrative entities to provide services for youth experiencing homelessness. It will invest in prevention and early intervention support services, low-barrier and diverse housing opportunities, and post-housing and follow-up services so each county can have an array of options for youth as they escape homelessness.
