California’s Efforts to Address Youth Homelessness

The State of California has created two new programs to address homelessness. Both the Homeless Emergency Aid Program (HEAP) and Homeless Housing, Assistance, and Prevention Program (HHAP) provide localities with funding to address homelessness through a one-time investment. Each program includes a portion of the one-time funding specifically designated to address youth homelessness. Click below to learn more about each program.

John Burton Advocates for Youth has developed several policy agendas as well as advocated for legislation to address youth homelessness. For more details, review the below reports and factsheets.
