County Policies on Out-of-County THP-Plus Youth
Sometimes youth relocate and do not live in their county of origin (where they exited from care). Youth may choose to relocate for various reasons, including to attend college, for a job, for safety reasons, or to live in a community where they may have family or social ties.
Each county with a THP-Plus program receives an annual THP-Plus Realignment Allocation that must be spent on THP-Plus services. THP-Plus is a statewide program, so counties can use this funding to serve youth in their THP-Plus programs regardless of their county of origin.
For provider, county and youth reference, below is the list of counties with THP-Plus programs, and whether or not they allow out-of-county youth in their programs as of March 2019.
